How long have you been doing this kind of work?
As a ski instructor, I’ve been involved for almost 20 years now. Yes, I started quite young. In Dropin-Snow specifically, I’ve been instructing for the past two seasons.

What makes Verbier a special place for someone in your profession?
Having worked in other renowned ski resorts like Whistler Blackcomb, I chose Verbier primarily for its exceptional freeride terrain. While Whistler may receive more snow, Verbier offers unparalleled steep, gnarly, and easily accessible terrain. Coupled with a snowy season, there’s no better place in my opinion.

What are the best bits about your job?
Teaching something I’m passionate about doesn’t feel like a job to me. It’s a pleasure to share my love for skiing and motivate others. Whether it’s teaching beginners or experts, the best part is seeing how happy my clients are at the end of the day. Being able to share epic moments with them is truly rewarding.

And the worst bits?
As someone who loves pushing their limits on the slopes, dealing with injuries and the recovery process isn’t as enjoyable. Skiing may offer thrills, but it also has its risks.

What is in store for the future with your business? Any exciting projects?
We’re looking to introduce ski analytics through video, utilizing drones for filming to provide unique perspectives. Additionally, we’ll offer ski photography services and plan to organize ski safaris to other resorts worldwide. There are also a couple of other exciting projects in the pipeline.

What are your personal and professional goals for the future?
Personally, I aim to continue improving in what I love doing, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and being good to the planet and those important to me. Professionally, I’m focused on developing Dropin-Bike, which is already underway.

What’s your favorite piste or off-piste area & top tip for skiing?
In the 4 Vallees, Etherola or L’ours offer fantastic piste skiing. Off-piste, Mt Gele and Gentianes to Tortin are top choices. My tip for skiing? Treat it like a sport, not just transportation. Ski hard and press on those skis.

Where would you recommend someone go for something special in resort?
For some laughs with friends, I’d recommend racing down the sled runs in Savoleyres. For a unique experience, ski touring up to Cabane Brunet for dinner and staying the night offers an unforgettable experience.

Your personal favorite place for lunch or dinner?
Offshore cafe for quick and easy food after skiing is a classic choice. On the mountain, Marmot or Chezz Dani are favorites. For dinner, nothing beats a home-cooked meal.

Where will we find the best coffee or hot chocolate?
On freezing cold days, hot chocolate and coffee are great anywhere in resort.

Do you remember your first trip to this resort?
Yes, I do. I remember how naive I was, skiing alone and exploring off-piste areas that I now only venture with a friend.

What’s your favorite thing to do in resort when not skiing or snowboarding?
Eating, drinking, and resting!

What do you do in the summer?
After many winters back-to-back, I now embrace summers. I work for a bike guiding tour company, offering week-long trips inclusive of hosting, bike service, and logistics. In my free time, I enjoy surfing and spending time at the beach.

Which is your favorite shop in resort?
No 1 Sports for their excellent service and Mountain Air for their top-notch boot fitting.

Where are we most likely to find you for après-ski?
Pub Mont Fort, Vinabagnes, Farinet, or Le Rouge are the classics.

Skiing or snowboarding?
I enjoy both, but skiing is my sport of choice. In Verbier, skiing is more practical due to the mountain’s nature.

If someone was coming here for the first time, what would you suggest they absolutely must do or see in resort?
Book a lesson with Dropin-Snow for an unforgettable experience!

Where were you brought up skiing?
I started skiing at the age of two in a resort situated in the Catalan Pyrenees called Boí Taüll.

What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is to transfer all my ski knowledge and passion for this sport so that my students can enjoy and love skiing even more.

What do you find most rewarding about teaching in Verbier?
The most rewarding aspect of teaching in Verbier is being able to ski with high-quality snow and enjoy some of the best views I’ve ever seen.

How do you spend your summers? Are there any other sports or activities you enjoy?
During the summer, I love practicing various sports, including skiing on the glacier. Additionally, I enjoy traveling around the world with my friends and family, engaging in activities such as climbing, hiking, surfing, and skating.

Why did you choose Verbier as your teaching destination?
I had friends who always talked to me about this resort. After considering the possibility, I visited Verbier and realized it was the perfect place for me.

What is your favorite type of lesson to teach?
I really love teaching freeride lessons as they’re incredibly fun, and I enjoy sharing all the secret spots from the resort.

What is your favorite ski run or area in Verbier?
I have a lot of favorite lines and areas around Verbier, but if I have to choose one, I would say Mont Gelé. This mountain offers a lot of lines and features to ski.

Have you ever competed? If so, in what events?
When I was a kid, I started participating in ski racing competitions. Now, I compete in the Freeride World Tour Qualifier.
